We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Yard & Maintenance Officer to join our team and help us maintain our facilities to the highest standard.

Job Summary:
As a Yard & Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our grounds and facilities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for our clients, team members, and visitors. This position requires a hands-on individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the organisation's properties, grounds, and equipment.
  • Oversee the upkeep of outdoor spaces, including landscaping and gardening.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with setting up and organising spaces for events or activities as required.
  • Attend employee meetings, employee training and other meetings as requested
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance, landscaping, or a related field (within the community services industry is desirable).
  • Relevant certifications in horticulture, landscaping or building maintenance is desirable.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and handle equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair techniques.
  • High level of work ethics and professionalism with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Blue Card for Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening
  • Drivers Licence
