Job Summary:
SCSS / Children, Youth & Family Services are seeking dedicated Disability Support Workers who are eager to transition into the youth sector and make a difference in the lives of young people. This role offers a unique chance to apply your transferable skills in a new and exciting setting, supporting, and empowering young individuals to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate and person-centred support to young people with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment contributing to growth and development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create tailored support plans and interventions.
  • Empower individuals to build essential life skills and promote independence.
  • Use daily routines to provide hands on training for life skills such as cooking, personal care and budgeting.

What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in disability support work or a related field.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
  • Ability to adapt to the unique needs and challenges of young people.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to use and access a smart phone for clocking in/out and shift notes.

Prior to commencement in this role, team members must hold or be eligible to hold: Blue Card for Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening, Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS2), hold or be willing to enrol into a Cert 4 or higher recognised qualification and a valid unrestricted drivers licence.
